FYI, we are working with the city of Kitchener for the official “Mt. Hope – Breithaupt Park Neighbourhood Association” to enter a period of dormancy. There is currently not a full executive and efforts for recruitment and engagement have not had tangible results.
The NA can easily be started up again, but would require a minimum of 4 to 5 executive members meeting 3 to 4 (or more) times per year.
Our Facebook page has over 700 ‘likes’ and may remain active for community announcements and would drop “Association” from its name.
We are working with the city on the status of our website/blog (mhbpna.org). We have more than 15 years of neighbourhood history there which we’d like to keep. One option would be to move the newer posts back to mhbpna.blogspot.com which is still ‘alive’.
